Although SM and LM are close copies of the original Weissenborns, the Style 4+ is one of the closest copies ever made.

Richard Barnes, renowed luthier from Claremont, CA, is a leading authority on the construction and repair for all vintage Weissenborns and teamed up with Gold Tone designers. Since the original koa wood that Hermann Weissenborn used on his guitars is used in the construction of the Style 4+, the tone and appearance are remarkably similar.
