--SOLD--Another great one. This was purchased from a man that also had given good care to guitar. Everything original and great shape. Sounds incredible.
Built in 1927, as evidenced by bridge type and pin configuration, stamps inside (condition of Weissenborn shield together with stamp of Henry Stadlmaier distributor). The bridge is the later one developed in 1927 measuring 5.5 inches from point to point wich Hermann Weissenborn developed to compete against the louder National resonator guitars. Internally, is a tree-shaped bridge plate glued to the underside of the top to support heavier strings and produce more volume.
Guitar had developed during all this years a couple of minor cracks under bridge, wich didnt even effect structure, sound or playability, but were repaired by an expert vintage guitar shop in Massachusetts.
The sound is beautiful, rich, deep, everything you could expect from a 1920s weissenborn in as good shape as this one.
Keeps everything original; tuners working fine and guitar keeping tune perfectly, even bridge pins.
