circa 1914-1920 Knutsen Hawaiian guitar
--SOLD :( --
Here is a nice Knutsen. It remains in incredible state of preservation for its age. Keeps everything original; tuners, pins, bridge, nut... All except endpin. Keeps also original finish without any correction or repair and has only a minor crack under bridge. It also has almost intact the full "New Hawaiian Family" yellow label from the 1914-20 Knutsen era in Los Angeles. Tuners, bass side wear black keys, other side white keys (both original :)
This guitar only needed back and nut to be reglued. Nut separated on shipping when arriving here and back only needed some areas to be glued again.
Not yet catalogued by Greg Minner on his Knutsen archives, back is one piece (some type of mahogany?)
Sounds as it looks; everything you expect from a vintage guitar as good as this one. Tone is deep, rich. One of the best we have tried.
Resonable offers considered.
