--SOLD-- Here´s an example of Chris Knutsen skills. Original hollow neck Hawaiian guitar made with super flamed koa top and mahogany back and sides. Back is one piece gorgeous flamed koa. Sound is great as well.
This guitar is catalogued by
Gregg Miner at the Knutsen Archives as HW21.
Made by Chris Knutsen in the 1914-1920 period (as white "New Hawaiian Family" label reveals), it has very nice wood binding on top and soundhole.
Couple of repaired cracks at top. Guitar was fully restored by Bill Asher (wich even makes this guitar more interesting for collectors). Bill reset and glued original bridge, repaired bridge plate, a few braces and set up the guitar.
The guitar keeps tune and plays as new (in fact previous owner was professional musician and recorded plenty of albums with it) and has an incredible sound.
Reasonable offers considered! --SOLD--
