Style 3

Style 3 introduce ornate rope binding on body, neck, headstock and soundhole, but not on back and, usually, a diamond inlay at the 12th fret; and double dots at frets five and nine.

This guitar is a Kona type 3. It is is trully good shape.
By the way. If you´re thinking on buying an original weissenborn, you might want to check it on eBay. This has become the best way to purchase one, for most people that are not by California area. Although, we´d also want to recommend you to do it with care, as we by ourselves, have seen lots of fraud attempts.We´ve noticed of some dude trying to commit the same fraud, apparently from Great Britain, and we´re afraid he might be getting it some day.

Of course, always check well seller´s feedback. When purchasing there, with almost no guaranties, always ask for more pics than the ones posted, to check if the guy really owns it, and also to see the stamp. Look at ended auctions and more items. With a few auctions viewed, you´ll be able to identify bona fide offers.

It also happens quite often, that a guy doesn´t even know what he´s selling, as he thinks it is just an old guitar, and receives tons of messages to take it out of auction for a ridiculous price. One of these cases took place just bearly on March´05. Although, this case ended up well and the guy got 3000$ for it( We hope the lady that gave him the guitar, with the same no-knowledge, got her part). We´re not the law, nor ethics teachers, but we´d also like to ask you in these cases to inform the seller. Just to void heart-attacks in case he realises some day!!
